Robots:Harmful?

We are (most believe) the lone moral agents on planet Earth—but this may not last. The day may come soon when we are forced to share this status with a new kind of being, one whose intelligence is of our own design.

I've always thought what it would be like if i had a robot by my side anywhere or everywhere. What if it could do all my projects, all my chores at home, buy groceries for me, read my favorite books to me, or if it could write this blog instead where it could describe what it is so perfectly. Robots have always fascinated me since i knew they existed. The basic concept of robot according to me is a trustworthy friend, who has no problem, no questions, and definitely no unwanted energy to argue with me.

It all started with the bollywood blockbuster, the movie 'robot' which gave me a slight of idea that these human made human like structures could be harmful too or should i say dangerous to no extension.  On the other side, the discovery channel broadcasting about  the robotics and science where the experts visit countries like Japan and Germany to discover people and their robots, dragged my attention toward this particular topic.

Starting from the arch of human journey where we have a happy childhood, exhausting youth  and unsatisfied older age, robots are  just metals with chips that perform chip like instructions. And the chips are made by whom? Definitely not a guess, a human. If there's a slight chance of a robot being a dangerous dinosaur then it all depends upon what human wants their robot to be like. And would we even like to share a small part of our favorite pie? If not how are we able to share another desk in our office with some metal like human who is 1000 times more smarter than us

Robots are there you see? Inside your car where you do not need a driver. the automatic drones in military where you do not need an expert, automatic vacuum machines, smart homes making you more complicated then you were never before. Ever heard about Roomba? Roomba is a small robot used by ten million homes simply to clean their floors. Robots do not threat us, they threat a hell of a human existence.
